What's the difference with the heated model?
This one doesn't heat: it insulates from the cold and warms by contact, with no cable or power supply. The 12V heated model does actually raise in temperature, but requires a cigarette lighter socket and a cable to route.
Does it stay in place well?
As long as you get the right diameter, yes. A cover that's too big shifts around while driving — that's the main flaw with this type of product, and it's solved by measuring before ordering.
