Check before you buy
  • If you are on Xiaomi, Huawei or Samsung and wireless Android Auto is the reason for the purchase, look elsewhere: compatibility there is temperamental. On iPhone, CarPlay does not have this problem.
  • Find your motorcycle's ignition wire (ACC), or plan a visit to a mechanic: connecting straight to the battery is to be avoided.
  • Measure the room available on your handlebars before choosing the size.

A phone strapped to the handlebars takes the rain, heats up in the sun and absorbs the engine's vibration — which is what destroys camera stabilisers, and the failure is never covered by the warranty. This screen is made for that: IPX7 waterproof, it takes it, and the phone stays warm in a pocket.

Connects wirelessly, sound in the headset

Two links, in this order: first the phone to the screen, for CarPlay or Android Auto; then the phone to the helmet intercom or your earphones, for the sound. The device has dual Bluetooth intended for exactly this arrangement.

Android Auto: check your phone

The manufacturer advises against the device for anyone with Xiaomi, Huawei and Samsung who are counting on wireless Android Auto: compatibility there is temperamental, and it is a known limitation of Android Auto on those brands, not a fault specific to this screen. On iPhone, CarPlay does not have this problem. If you are on one of those brands and Android Auto is the reason for the purchase, look elsewhere — we would rather say so beforehand.

It must be connected to the ignition wire (ACC), never directly to the battery terminals: wired straight to them, it never switches off and drains the motorcycle's battery.
