Most dash cams stick to the windscreen and leave a wire dangling to the cigarette lighter. This one takes the place of the rear-view mirror: two elastic straps over the original mirror, and it is mounted. The field of view stays the same, and the mirror still works when the screen is off.

What it films

1080p at the front, wide angle. Loop recording: when the card is full, the oldest files are overwritten, apart from those the impact sensor has locked. A bump, a car hit while parked, an insurance dispute — the footage stays on the card and is not erased by the recording that follows.
